When you create a lender account, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, phone number, business details, and any identity documents required to verify you.

When borrowers use a storefront powered by LoanHQ, the lender that operates the storefront determines what information is collected. LoanHQ processes that information on the lender's behalf as their data processor.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate the platform, authenticate users, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve our product over time.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.

3. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted vendors — for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and identity verification — who process information on our behalf under written agreements that require them to protect it.

• Cloud hosting providers (for the platform itself)
• Email delivery providers (for transactional notifications)
• Analytics providers (for website usage metrics)
• Identity providers (only when lenders enable them)

4. Borrower data

When you are a borrower interacting with a storefront powered by LoanHQ, the lender — not LoanHQ — is the data controller. They decide what information to collect and how to use it.

For requests about your data — access, correction, deletion — please contact the lender directly. We will support them in fulfilling your request.

5. Data retention

Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Borrower data retention is controlled by the lender, in line with their own policies and applicable law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, regular security reviews, and a documented incident response process.

No system is perfect. If we discover a security incident that affects your information, we will notify you and any required authorities without undue delay.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information; to object to certain processing; or to receive a portable copy.

To exercise any of these rights with respect to your LoanHQ lender account, email privacy@loanhq.app and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post a notice on the site and update the date at the top of this page.
